SCOPE OF WORK:
- Dismantling of all metal roofs to the wood decking
- Repair the damaged plaster and brick walls
- Corrective work of the wooden structure of the roof
- Building the wooden cornice and restoring the dormers and woodwork details as they were originally
- Ventilation and insulation of the roof
- Covering the new decking with a membrane, metal roofing and flashing
- Installing snow barriers on the batten seam roofs
MAIN CHALLENGE:
Safeguarding the integrity and restoring the details of a building from the 1830s that has undergone several damaging changes in order to deliver a new roof that is both efficient and respectful of its history
