They include:

• preparation of large-scale drawings of details that could not be foreseen during the final plans and specifications stage, but that are required for construction purposes;
• issuance of construction change orders and negotiations concerning them;
• advice to the client on technical problems during construction, with or without visits to the worksite;
• verification of shop drawings and manufacturer spec sheets to ensure their compliance with the plans and specifications;
• coordination regarding construction work;
• verification of material equivalence;
• depending on the frequency demanded by progress on the worksite, periodic visits to the worksite in order to make sure that the work progress, the execution, the quality of the materials and labour follow the requirements of the contractual documents;
• based on observations made during periodic worksite visits, instructions to redo work considered not to be in compliance with the contractual documents;
• notices to the contractor about the interpretation of plans and specifications;
• writing of minutes for worksite and client meetings;
• checking progress claims and issuing certificates for payment based on the percentage of work completed;
• final architecture inspection and coordination of the final inspections of the other professionals;
• issuance of provisional and final acceptance of the work, with or without reservations;
• giving the client a copy of the revised original drawings at the end of the project.
